Bauchi State Urban Development Board
Established in 1985 by Edict No. 16 with the sole objective of improving the welfare of teachers in the state which will eventually culminate into improving the standard of education of the state being the cardinal objectives of the government.
The overall goal of the Teacher's Service Commission is to establish and maintain a sufficient and professional teaching service for public education institutions in the state. In this regard, the commission strives to live up to aspirations of its vision and mission in pursiut of quality service to teachers and public educational institutions.

FUNCTIONS OF THE COMMISSION
To recruit, promote and discipline the teachers on the recommendation of the state Ministry of Education
To register trained teachers
To assigned teachers employed by the commission for service in any public school or institution
To terminate the employment of teachers
Development of teachers
Maintenance of teching standards
To compile and update the records of services of all teachers in normadic and post basic education institutions of the state.
